Projects Galore: A long overdue update!

Hey kids!

TGIF!

I know it’s been almost a MONTH since I posted last, but A LOT has been going on in our house (soon to not be our house)! I think I mentioned something in my last post about selling our house and moving onto the next?? It’s been so long I don’t remember…  I KNOOWW, I’m sorrryyy!

Long story short, we are now finally two weeks out from closing and being bumped out onto the street! Don’t worry though, we have a really nice tent and great sleeping bags! In all reality that might actually be our life for a couple of months, considering how much stuff needs to be started on the new place before we can “move-in”! We knew what we were getting ourselves into, so we should be fine but, if anything we might couch surf for a few weeks while we demo!

Today I just wanted to share some of the things I have been working on these past few weeks, (aside from all the inspections, showings, walk-thrus, contractor visits, and car rides with the dogs) I’ve kept busy!

Over the past few weeks I’ve been working really hard to step up my game and take on new clients/design projects, as well as partnering with a friend in real estate to help broaden my potential “design flow”… Let’s just say it’s going really well!

So, if you know of anyone who needs a designer, stager, decorator, paint picker-outter, or project manager, SEND THEM MY WAY!

I swear I will show you photos of the new house, and all the forecasted projects, but only after we FINALLY have the keys in hand! Be patient (more than I am…)

In the meantime…

Below is “Mood Board” 1 of 4 bathrooms in the new house…

Black and Gold Bathroom, Black and White Geometric Tile, Subway Tile, Half Bath, Full Bath, Bathroom Renovation, Bathroom Desiign

This house is straight out of “Father of the Bride” giant, all white, center hall colonial built in the 30’s! It’s glamorous and daunting all at the same time! I want to bring a very transitional/traditional/Kardashian vibe to the house!

Keeping that in mind, the color scheme for the house will be soft whites, black, light grays, and wood tones!  Keeping a lot of the historical aspects to the home is important to me, so what we can’t save, we will mimic using updated materials. I am in LOVE with this amazing cement tile from CementTileShop.com.

Everything else pictured is just to kind of set the mood of the overall “flow”, but so far, I’m OBSESSED!

I do have other plans, like the kitchen, (and the entire house) but I can’t give TOO much away, it’s not officially ours yet!

The 2 “mood boards” below are for another client who I just met recently… They have an amazing house, very traditional, but wants a modern/traditional vibe for the house…

Office Design, Black and White, Grass Cloth Wallpaper, West Elm, Restoration Hardware

I wanted to go a little bit darker and moodier (is that a word?) in the office… the rest of the house will eventually be very light and airy, and formal, so the office is a place to go a little bolder!

I am obsessed with the chandelier!

Elegant Living Room, Soft Grays and Yellow, Formal Living Room, Pottery Barn, Pier1

In the living room I wanted it to be pretty formal, but still livable… They have an existing, very pretty, pale yellow wall color, so I played off of that!

I LOVE a good vertical striped curtain panel! Can you believe that coffee table is from Target!?

Finally, I have an awesome before and after of a piece I just finished!

Furniture Transformation, Before and After, Chalk Paint, Faux Marble Top

There you go kids! I small peek into a few of MANY projects I’ve been working on the past couple of weeks! Now we just need to focus on juggling packing, moving, and all the weddings we have this month! Stay tuned for more updates! There will be a lot going on the next few weeks!
